TREASURE HOUSE, POLZEATH
New Build
The new Treasure House was built on the site of one of the oldest buildings in Polzeath and required the demolition and clearance of a derelict house. The ground conditions were particularly difficult due to being sited in the sand dunes, close to a watercourse and having a 3m slope left to right.
Simon Lawrence builders were contracted to undertake a huge range of tasks. These included: demolition, excavation, overseeing foundation work, grounds works, steel frame installation, blockwork and cladding, roofing, rainwater harvesting, Kargester, internal flooring, plastering, woodworking and decorating finish. In summary pretty much everything inside and outside the house except the heating/ventilation system and electrics. (Iain.W)

The Perfect Stay...
Treasure House is a boutique holiday home that is a 1 minute walk away from the beach. The property has a reversed floor plan, with 4 bedrooms on the ground floor, along a gallery hallway. Neutral interiors are used throughout the house to compliment the rustic wood-clad walls and exposed beams.
The first floor boasts some beautiful views of Polzeath, due to a more open-plan layout with a balcony that spans the length of the building overlooking the courtyard. The kitchen is fitted with a crisp, contemporary design that leads into the dining and lounge area. The first floor has vaulted ceilings, giving it a spacious, but cosy feel.
The on-site garage was also converted into an entertainment room, with an annex that can be used as additional accommodation also.
The accommodation can be booked via Perfect Stays.
